If you need to rent transportation for an event, you need to know what to rent. There are actually various types of charter buses you can rent, from a standard charter bus, a minibus, and a party bus. These are the three main types of rental buses most companies rent out.
#1 Party Bus
A party bus is generally the size of a minibus instead of the size of a full-sized bus. Party buses are generally made to carry around thirty to forty people, depending on the size. Where a party bus gets different is when you get inside. The inside has the seats situated along the edge instead of in rows like a traditional space. This provides you with an open space in the middle. This open space is designed to help facilitate the feeling of a party and provides some space for socializing, dancing, and playing games.
Party buses also generally also have nice sound systems, so you can enjoy music throughout the bus. The whole idea is to create a festive environment, so a larger sound system is needed.
You may also find on-board coolers are provided, as well as perhaps a mini-kitchen type of area for preparing drinks and foods. You may or may not have a lavatory on the bus.
#2 Minibus
Minibuses are made to hold smaller amounts of individuals. Minibuses can vary in size, from only carrying 12–15 people to carrying 30–40 people. Any bus that is not full size will fall into this category. They are made for the bare minimum. They do not have any undercarriage luggage space. They generally do not include restrooms at all.
They may have reclining seats, and they often have Wi-Fi. Smaller buses can be used for shuttling and short transportation needs.
#3 Full-Size Standard Charter Bus
Finally, you have a full-size bus. These types of transportation are designed for travelling long-distance and are made for comfort and for carrying large groups of individuals.
Inside the bus, you will enjoy reclining seats, overhead luggage storage, potentially built-in screens, and Wi-Fi. There should be one or two lavatories at the back. There should also be undercarriage storage as well.
Party buses are great for having some fun with a small group of friends. Minibuses are best for shuttling people and for short trips. A standard charter bus rental is great for large groups travelling long-distances. Talk to the transportation company to figure out which form of transportation would be best for your group.
